Mans 'addictions' are HUMAN. You are either strong enough to control it or Limit it, or you are not. Your idea of 'alcoholics' sounds like my sister. She demeans my 'alcoholic' father, who worked hard every day to raise four children for drinking AT HOME. His 'issue' was, He KILLED enough MEN in WWII to be awarded several stars.

I just disagree that it's a willpower thing for actual alcoholics. At least not willpower in general - just that specific issue.
Sounds like your father's not a problem drinker - just someone who drinks. And if he killed people in WW2, he's probably 100 years old and should be able to drink if he wants to.
Your idea of 'drinking' has Nothing to do with The Reasons people are addicted to it or WHY they use it which is massive. My dad was covering up his pain of Killing that is not normal for a sane man. The understanding of Control is MY story from deciding in my drunk 20s to STOP. What ever your idea is, you need to start over, because it is wrong.
Well, if my idea is wrong, it's wrong in all the right ways. I'm 13 months sober and my life is basically unrecognizable from 14 months ago. I also no longer crave or think about booze, whereas before I had spent years "drinking against my will."
If your story is different, and it was easier for you; good. If what I'm saying to you doesn't make sense, you're probably not an alcoholic. And again; good.
