This one right here. If you drink very regularly or get drunk on the regular you cannot go to zero all at once. It can kill you. No joke, it is more likely to kill you than going cold turkey on almost every major drug.
Watch out for "the shakes" or "tremors" you will also probably not sleep well and will have excessive sweating and fatigue.
A "step down" or taper is hard but it can limit these issues.
However, the more you taper/back off and keep to it. The better you will feel. Its ok for it to take time. You don't have to do it in one day.
