It's a habit and a physical addiction. Dropping a habit is tough. Drink tonic water when you get the urge to drink. The quinine helps. Get out of the place you drank at, at the time you started drinking. Do ANYTHING else but drink. Walks, lifting, hobbies outside, bro, do anything else anywhere else. Friends or family that don't drink are super important. Seek them out. Stay busy. Good luck, bro

Wanting to stop and not being able to is basically the hallmark of an alcoholic. Have you considered finding an aa meeting?

I’ve tried everything— cold showers, emotional support animals, Hare Krishna, but just can’t eat my tendies without something to dip it in. I’m sure you can relate. That damn sauce…
