Cold turkey is the only way. Once you're an addict your body will always be vulnerable to whatever you're addicted to and your mind will always find a way to justify it. With something like food you have to regulate it and control your intake but alcohol should simply be stopped altogether. I know that's easy for me to say as a lifelong teetotaler but it's still the truth. No one actually NEEDS to drink and alcohol is one of the most addictive drugs on the planet.

Ie
- no drinking alone
- no drinking two days in a row
- no drinking before a certain time
- only at parties, if you even want to
- no drinking for sus reasons "just to help me sleep" or "just to help me unwind" etc. if a sus reason bubbles up, instant no.
