I would strongly recommend you go to a meeting, if only to get an AA big book. It'll be $10, and they all should have them available. Read the first few chapters. You won't regret it. I think you'll identify with a lot of it. Also - It's almost completely unchanged since 1938, so there's no "progressive" bullshit built into it.
