Maybe move to /s/odd?

[–] 6 pts

Yeah well it'll all seem pretty strange when a genetically engineered hyper-plague hits Philly in about two weeks.

Until then....

@pmyb2 or @aou can you move this to /s/odd please

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

Good plan! You can't feel bad about being wrong when we're all dead of the genetically engineered hyper-plague. I read The Stand, I know how this works.

Done

[–] [deleted] 5 pts

Probably from all the feces and piss that exists in a big city

[–] 5 pts

The piss and feces accounts for the flies and cockroaches, but does not explain this mosquito

i seen like 100 or more honeybees yesterday

[–] 5 pts

Yeah, entirely too warm for this time of year..

[–] 0 pt

i aint complaining but is odd cause was 17 degrees on october now os warm

[–] 1 pt

I saw honeybees yesterday too. Was really surprised. This post makes me even more confused.

Really hoping it wasn't some sort of genetically engineered AIDS mosquito

[–] 3 pts

It just looking for a warm asshole to suck

[–] 2 pts

its been 75 degrees here last 2 days

[–] 2 pts

That is odd, the weather is not warm enough for that normally.

Probably crawled out of an asylum seeker's clothes.

Proving global cooling ideas from the 70's !!

Poor hygiene and maintenance. There are mosquitoes year round in China in every restroom and gym shower... because it's warm inside, and never cleaned properly so always wet too. Also in every underground carpark for the same reason.

It could be snowing outside, but wouldn't make a fucking difference.

If you're starting to see mosquitoes in the winter, it's a sign your country has turned to shit.

I'd agree with you, but I've taken the subway my entire life, and it has only gotten better within the past 5-10 years.

It was soooooo bad in the 90s/earlier 2000s, much better now. And even when it was much worse, I never saw a mosquito on it, even in summer.

[–] 1 pt

I didn't mean the subway facilities in general. I meant the area and people. People who will leave standing water around for mosquitoes to breed in because they're fucking dumb street shitters.

Also, the density of people got so high that mosquitoes and other parasites and diseases become an inevitably.

[–] 0 pt

Oh, I totally get it and agree with you in that case. I've just never seen one in winter and never seen one on the subway.

So what? It's a little irregular but nothing to create a thread about. A warm period during winter, especially while the sun is experiencing minimal solar activity and sunspots (electroverse.net), is not surprising.

EDIT: Also it's not the "middle of winter". Winter only began about a week and a half ago.
