I like that open ending.

Is his Mama in shock at what he's telling her? Did he kill her? Is she just dead but he still talks to her like Norman bates? (might make sense as the influence as this was released in the same decade as the movie Psycho)

Also I couldn't help thinking of the song Excitable Boy by Warren Zeavon and how they're almost completely opposites songs dealing with similar situations. Where Zeavon takes the perspective of society making excuses for the actions of a psycho in an overly happy manner, Noack uses a more somber tone to tell of a killers self acceptance of being crazy.
