I can afford a house, but I can't find one.

They are throwing money at housing and land and skyrocketing prices everywhere because right now at the current valuation they are losing money paying double what a property is appraised at, but as soon as they control enough land they can set the prices at whatever they want. They are attempting to corner the market and price regular people out of ownership.
