I used steak as the bread, and filled it with Bacon, onion, and cheese.

What kind of cheese? I might try this.

I like cheddar or a jack, but there's no rules. Velveeta is popular but messy when hot, so I mix that with shredded cheddar.

The official name is "Bacon Explosion" if you're looking for a recipe. I've been making them for almost 20 years and figured out what I like most.

Hmm I'd probably do Monterrey Jack. I'd probably throw in onion too. Gotta have the almighty T enhancer in there.

I've mixed finely diced onion into the sausage before, but never used it inside the roll. There's a whole pound of cooked bacon in there and if you add much more toppings it gets hard to roll.

But yeah man, have fun with it, make it your own. I've tried making breakfast versions with hashbrowns and scrambled eggs, a meatloaf version using beef instead of the sausage, a pizza one with pizza sauce instead of bbq sauce.
