I have pancetta in the fridge. I'm gonna make some carbonara, but I'm cursed so I can't do it on the 8th.
I first started making carbonara with bacon, oh-so-many-years-ago, but just wouldn’t anymore. I’d have something else. Unless, of course, it’s hunker down time and it’s the ingredients I have on hand. But probably wouldn’t use all those ingredients together in a single meal in a shtf scenario. I’d be conserving calories. But now I’m just crossing over into other subs, lol.
