Why the frick would you wire something else to the furnace circuit? Furnaces, ACs, and fridges: the three things which get their own circuit for a darn good reason.
I honestly have no clue what that moron was thinking.

Maybe daqwaan will go and replace a lower amp breaker with a higher one and the problem will solve itself
We need a p/NiggerAwards like the Darwin Awards but for dumbass negroes dying doing stupid shit.
leave it to actual professionals.
Yes, absolutely. I'm lucky I didn't burn the house down installing a couple new outlets in the basement (in metal conduit, standard 14 awg wire, 6ft off of the floor, yada yada I have no clue, really... just skimmed a few pages). Encountered a junction box that actually had two separate circuits, that I thought was one circuit. The one that was still live, the one I fucked up on, was luckily a GFCI circuit that popped open and prevented frying myself and the house. Should have not assumed everything I was looking at was the same dead circuit I opened up with the breaker.
I know now... but I had to almost burn the place down or electrocute myself to figure it out.
