Notice how neither adult does anything at all. It’s almost as if they want to breed this behavior into their kids. I think they think it makes them tougher.
No - it has nothing to do with "wanting to breed." It's not a choice for them; they literally don't see it as anything other than "it is." It's like asking them what it would be like if they hadn't eaten breakfast and they're inability to imagine any other scenario than what occurred. For them, the fighting, the ape like responses just...are.
