Bee stings have been used to cure Lyme disease.

The best story is one of a woman who had selected s assisted suicide, and was taking a final walk with her caretaker when they ran afoul of a hive of bees. Iirc they were africanized Honey bees.

The caretaker literally ran away, leaving her crippled ass to get stung, possibly to death. I think she ended up in a coma and when she woke up all of her Lyme disease symptoms were gone.

She also no longer had Lyme disease.

That's absolutely wild if the stings cured her!

It was actually the stings. Turns out this had been theorized for many years, but it was considered unethical to experiment on the sick cripples
