People used to believe wrestling was real. They didn’t know that wrestlers bladed to bleed and “get color” and sell the violence of the match. They didn’t realize that wrestlers would slap their thighs when performing kicks to make it sound as though the strike connected.
Anyway, on a totally unrelated note, I can’t believe that anybody would question the reality of this assassination attempt.
