I still have a landline. I'm not sure why

Opposing electric cars is like opposing homosexual men getting married so they can have a legal excuse for abusing their adopted babies.

Landlines tend to work reliably, EVs don't.

I still have a land line, it costs less than Netflix (which I don't have) and it would take something pretty remarkable for it to stop working.

But.... Land lines actually Worked.

What's wrong with land lines. At least you're not being surveilled 24 hours a day carrying the stupid thing where ever you go.

There's a telephone port in the back of the router the ISP gave me. It's connected to a WIRE from my house to the tall pole out back. One could call this wire a LAND LINE.

Every single major business in the world uses landline phones.

Buttplug just made a stupid ANALogy... he is an idiot though so no surprises there.

This may be the case if cellphones (the new alternative to landlines) were somehow garbage.

Most people are resistant or at least cautious of change, and generally speaking the most extreme cases are left behind to eventually fall prey to obsolescence. In business world, trying to stick with old technology or failing to innovate is a death sentence.

When it comes to the ICE vs EV debate though.. its more like choosing between an apple or pear. The two both provide the same function, but one is inferior or underdeveloped.

Imagine if recharging an EV was as quick as dispensing 20 gallons of gasoline, and replacing a battery was a couple hundred dollars every 50 thousand miles.. an EV would make a lot more sense, although there are still disadvantages such as the ICE getting more fuel economy/better performance as the tank is depleted (weight reduction). That fact is a physics problem, that can only be solved when the weight of batteries is <50% of a filled gasoline tank.

EV technology is still very much in its infancy. Those vehicles should be seen as toys for the wealthy to experiment with at this point. The average Joe should very much stick with an ICE vehicle for now and anyone who says otherwise is a fool.

The wireless market was developed through competition. When cell phones were first introduced, they were very expensive. In order to get more customers, carriers and manufacturers needed to provide better service cheaper. They did not ban landline to force people to wireless that was less reliable and more expensive. This is a perfect analogy to show how bad the government insertion i to the EV market has been. Most people would probably buy a gas electric hybrid because they need range. The government is forcing all EV because they want to take the range away from you. They don't want 1 million people being able to transport themselves to DC for a protest.
