We know there's always that one asshole that has something so important. I'm sure the flight staff was probably smacking the shit out of the people trying to get their stuff as well as the person behind them. So I bet you in a way it was kind of mob rules. To be honest all you really need is your passport and your wallet everything else you can just get again. Your phone will be in your pocket so you don't have to worry about that either.
