I guess.. Good luck? Also, No women should be trying to buy their "first house" without being in a relationship with a man. If you don't like that, well. Fuck Y'all.

At the same time. What the fuck was she thinking? Oh, she wasn't. Not only that. A man that is worth anything could have pointed out all of those flaws and probably had a general idea how much it would cost to fix.

It is NOT normal for men or women to just "live alone" or "buy their own house" at a young age. This is weird (((jew))) hollywood bullshit.

Don't set yourself up for failure.

Wow, she's a total moron. Obviously surface level, basic bitch inner mind workings. I hate seeing articles like this because it reinforces a stereotype that women should never make any important decisions because they're judgement is shit. I kind of agree with that, but some of us are outliers.

I bought my first (and currently only) house 10 years ago when I was 25. It was a foreclosure that was vacant for 1.5 years, and is over 200 years old. Admittedly, I was EXTREMELY LUCKY as there were no major repairs needed aside from roof replacement, but I hired 2 inspectors with good reputation in my area. I've never married, so there's no "husband" to make all my decisions for me or consult with, which is fine by me. Instead, I looked over the house multiple times with my realtor, took assessments of all needed repairs both large and small, priced it out and created a spreadsheet so I had an accurate and thorough idea of what I was "up against". This allowed me to justify my low but reasonable offer to purchase. It took 6 months to close, but it was worth it.

I hired a company to replace my roof. I have been systematically renovating my house starting in the attic and working down to the front door. I've been able to do 99% of the renovations myself. It's been a long process, luckily my grandfather is a contractor and I learned a lot from him. Using carefully researched products and sticking to a strict budget has allowed me to renovate on a single income.

Home ownership is one of the most important investments you ever make (assuming you're middle/working class like me) so not doing any objective inspection to a home is profoundly stupid. At this point, she doesn't deserve her dream home.... not because she's a woman, but because she's an idiot.

You are right. The argument is always "not all xxxx" my general comment is more on that we live in a time where it somehow becomes mostly normal (in the US) for people to live alone.

That has basically never been normal in human history and still never has been in most of the world.

I'm not just talking about Women moving out on their own but Men as well.

I'm glad you have done well and home ownership is extremely important as an investment. You are still a huge outlier in this situation though.
