Actually, in Romance or Latinate languages, there are linguistically three genders: male, female, and neuter. Of course, this has nothing to do with biological sex, which is probably what everyone is thinking, or his right to free speech, or his school's dress code.

In a court of law, you typically have to prove an argument. Chromosome pair 23 XX or XY are the two options. I'd make the other side prove there are more, because they are stating incorrect opinion while the boy is stating fact.
