Just because cause A, B, or C may claim more lives doesn't mean I should be ok with an increase in the amount of deaths from cause D. It's a poor argument to support the right conclusion. Edit: Using the same logic: obesity, fire and water claim more lives than Islamic terror, so what's wrong with bringing a bunch of muds into the country?
