Shouldn't the lawsuit be against the person that placed the ad?

Seems like this will be thrown out.

Yes, but I think the ad situation is getting out of hand. If this makes corporations pay better attention to the shady ads they throw up on their websites instead of on the money they're raking in, I'm all for it. They need to be screening ad choices better. Most of the stuff is clickbait or scam quality.

It would create an extreme burden on any website that wants to run ads. Sure the big guys like google and facebook might have the resources to investigate the ads, but what if Poal wanted to run ads? It would have no way to investigate.

I did agree with you above, I don't think she has a case here. I do think that morally, which we all know the corporations are kowtowing to, they should be a lot more stringent with the ads they allow. I also think that Google is one of the worst perpetrators of shitty clickbait ads.

So they run ads from reputable sources. There's no real need to investigate when you can eyeball the ad. No shitty sites about how this one vegetable will make you eternal, or how some guys grandmother looks like a teenager after doing this one secret thing that doctors don't want you to know about. No scammy clickbait. It shouldn't be super hard to weed those out. If the majority of adults can look at ads like that and refrain from throwing money at them, the corporations might accidently be intelligent enough to not have them posted on their websites.

And when I say "the majority of adults", I'm obviously weeding out a few lovers of a letter.

there still some goofy stuff going on, i refreshed and fixed it. your title was all along side etc.... i should have screened it sry

It happened when I was editing the title. Your browser cache is messing with you as it should have dropped the previous title.
