We'll be adding an archive button for the next update.
Archive.today doesn't always work though (many sites are now blocking it). So users who will be using the archive button will have to check if the archiving worked before manually posting the resulting link.
I have used a multi pronged approach.
Send to two archive sites, then do a Ctrl+A and save the text which auto posts to a pastebin type service, then a screenshot that autoposted to an image service. It's nice when its automated in the background and you don't necessarily have to make it a public archive link... it will just be archived if someone needs to go looking for it.
That's a pretty good idea. I'll think about how we could add something similar to poal.
The way I first accomplished it was by auto-copying every link into a google sheet. At night, a mouse robot would then do all the clicking needed to capture as I described. Later, someone helped me with wget and grep scripts to eliminate the need for the mouse robot. But, there are lot of different solutions.
