I've fucked up enough times in my life to realize that, yes, there are extenuating circumstance that could have made my life better / worse, but the one constant is ME. I call it personal responsibility. My parents can only be partially blamed for my first 17 years, after that, it's ALL ON ME.
I'll back anything that brings that cesspit down.
