I'm preparing for disappointment. No matter how weak the case for the prosecution was, it all still comes down to a bunch of random strangers who may be complete retards, leftists, or retarded leftists.
Just takes one to say fuck this bullshit
Exactly, how does one counter if the jury clearly states they believe the Prosecution proved all charges beyond reasonable doubt, not only find the defendant guilty but also strongly concur with the prosecutions recommendation for the longest sentence possible as a deterrence to any future 'unlawful vigilante killings' ??....
I believe the judge can step in and nullify.
On what legal grounds ??. Correct me if i'm wrong, but a Judge can only nullify if 'a verdict didn't come about lawfully' (clear evidence of bribery, threats, coercion etc), was improperly instructed or declare a mistrial if after jury polling the verdict wasn't unanimous. I men i don't know for sure bc attempting to find accurate source info - depends on how you go about sourcing the info and even how the question is parsed - NOTE, not a lawyer....
