Obviously he told the truth under oath (when he could be accused of perjury) that he was aiming his gun at Kyle at the moment when Kyle fired. He has gotten lots of heat from his comrades for admitting that Kyle acted in self-defense. Now he can go on CNN and lie without consequence by portraying himself as an innocent victim. He is also hoping to collect on his $10,000,000 civil suit against the city.
