I'm not convinced. It's clear the defense is very slow off the ball and has very slow starts during the crosses and statements, but they're pointing out things that are fishy with the prosecution and police involvement. He pointed out how the FBI was extremely sketchy about turning over evidence, and how the prosecutor and cops protected the guy shot in the arm by invoking Macy's law or whatever for the first and only time in the history of that witness cop's career.

undoubtedly the prosecution is shady af, but the only effective counter is coaxing the jury neck to your side. Barnes tactics are likely effective in a certain type of venue, but his very presence is likely to impact the proceedings in some negative way. barnes had made this very case himself. as sterile as we like to regard judicial proceedings, the actual courtroom is anything but. it's all politics and innuendo. in a small town like kenosha, that is likely even more relevant because everyone knows everyone else's business. Kyle's best bet, imo, is that the locals view the whole blm invasion as something they want nothing to do with, and they clear kyle just to tell 'big city folk' to fuck off.
