This is really depressing. I respect the men who handle our garbage. It's dirty, hard, thankless work. They get judged negatively- "Oh you're just a garbage man." Even that description makes them sound like trash people.
These guys bust their asses just to keep squalor from piling up. And now they have to spend an additional 50% of their life doing this job because their co-workers want to remain pureblooded. They'll get paid OT, sure... but how long until they become fatigued? They're also working on Sundays now!?
Just watch, we're going to see a spike in vehicle accidents involving garbage trucks. We're going to see a lot of the sanitation workers get sick and injured on the job because they're so fucking tired. And all they're doing is trying to feed their families. They got the shot because it was either "get the shot or get the hell out of the city". They were pressured, threatened, really, into getting these fucking shots. I have much sympathy for these poor bastards, and deBlasio is a fucking monster. I hope they start dumping their truck loads onto his fucking front lawn.
