As to why the gun contained live rounds, crew members had evidently used them for "plinking," or playing target practice with beer cans, during breaks. That's dangerous and unprofessional enough on an action movie set, but even worse is why Baldwin didn't know that the gun had live rounds. Apparently nobody — not the armorer, not the AD who selected the gun, not the actor responsible for firing it — thought to check before aiming it directly at two human beings.

This is what happens when you give liberals with no real experience and no formal training access to firearms. As soon as they have access without a responsible adult around they're just randomly shooting shit and breaking all the rules of firearms safety.

This kind of shit is why they want gun control. I mean, these things just go off unexpectedly and kill people after all. Didn't you see what just happened?

You have to know enough and care enough to do it right the first time, and every time, because it matters.

The "two man rule" always applies. Two sets of hands, two sets of eyeballs, two brains. Dead sure or dead. I don't give a shit if I just watched you clear and safe the piece before handing it to me, I will clear and safe it again myself, right there in front of you.

In fact, that's one of my tests for someone I don't know at the range. If I clear and safe a weapon and then hand it to them with the action open and they don't immediately check it for themselves, I may be dealing with an idiot. Or if they look butthurt if I recheck one they just handed me after clearing it, I may be dealing with an idiot. If they do check, then they are probably okay. And if they watch to see if I check, same. I've done this with complete strangers and looked up and made eye contact and it was like a secret vibe goes between us. They've smiled and said, "I was watching to see if you'd check." They usually turn out to be okay.

And speaking about gun laws, why hasn't he been charged yet with being in possession of a firearm while under a domestic protection order? Basic firearms safety rule and procedures aside, if they had simply obeyed the law that they themselves pushed for, the shooting never would have happened. They would have handed him a blank firing non-firearm prop gun because that's all he could legally handle. But, no. Laws like that only apply to the peasants, not the great, rich and famous Alec fucking Baldwin. Now look at you. Spit.

Every story in the media is frantically running cover for Baldwin now, screw even mentioning that some girl died, they are just going full bore to divert any concept of blame away from him.

He was producer on that film,

"A producer is the person responsible for finding and launching a project; arranging financing financing; hiring writers, a director, and key members of the creative team; and overseeing all elements of pre-production, production and post-production, right up to release."

so all the pressure he put on the film crew, including hiring an inexperienced armourer, is on him

so sick of Leftists getting away with literal murder now

The author mentions Baldwin should have checked the gun himself and treated it as fully loaded at all times.

I don't see anything in this article absolving him of it, only attempting explain how it happened and what could have been done to prevent it.

Unless some proof comes out that Baldwin knew it was loaded and intentionally fired it at the poor woman, then manslaughter is the correct charge and would make him guilty of a negligent firearm discharge and the resulting death, but he would not be guilty of murder.

If Baldwin ends up with some cozy movie deals in the next few years, you will know the story is fake and a distraction.

The article paints a picture that Baldwin was handed a gun and proceeded to enact what he wanted to do. What is missing is whether he had to cock the gun, take aim at the camera, and pull the trigger. Shooting a blank can cause serious injury at close range. It would also damage the camera equipment. Shooting at an expensive camera, missing the camera, and hitting a person in close proximity. If they knew he was going to fire, they would not have been behind the camera. Loaded or not. Why would you even pull the trigger if you were just story-boarding the sequence?

BS. He pulled the trigger just like the gangs that kill 762 in Chicago every year. If someone else loaded it, they are ALSO guilty of murder, but he should have checked His firearm.

Single action handgun required a fully cocked hammer before squeezing the trigger. He's careless and maybe takes drugs or hits the booze. His emotions are volatile. Bet he has blackout rages.

They will throw someone under the bus so asshole alec gets off and never spends a day in jail. Isn't that how the elite roll? Predictable as hell.

Bonus lefty points if they pin it on the dead woman so none of them have to suffer any consequences.
