Communism is state centralized power, you can't oppose state centralized power without seizing said power. Yeah fascism is authoritarian but it must be, that's how all of this works. Libertarianism has already lost, it lost 1865, it lost in 1913, it lost in 1945... hell it's all but dead. Free and open ideologies require prosperity, trust, unity (racial or otherwise) and a strong well raised populace and we have a shortage on all counts.

The south end of the compass can't exist in a centralized technocracy, it can't exist in our Turner Diaries future. It's either submission and the surrender of ego to the machine or the complete abandonment of your ego in order to fight the machine. There is no self in the black pill future, only the collective and those who would suffer and die fighting it. This is why fascism exists, it is the natural predator of communism.

There is a reason that earth fights seemingly infinite space bugs in Starship Troopers, what better avatar for communism than the eusocial insect, nature's perfect commie. You have to make sacrifices to fight an enemy like that. Fascism is never born out of well run prosperous nations, it is born out of formerly prosperous nations when they fail or when they struggle against overwhelming odds. It is a reactionary ideology that only exists because communists exist and must be resisted. The only thing that stops a communist is a fascist.

It's easy to 'Lump the authoritarians together' from a seat high atop the last vestiges of free-ish civilization but it's not that easy from inside the fall as we are all about to see first hand.
