I wonder what the generator's efficiency is? My Honda Eu2000i can generate 8 kWh from one gallon of gas. That's enough to drive an electric car about 36 miles if driven carefully. Not bad considering all the conversion and charging losses.
I'm wondering how generators are going to work in California after the small engine ban. Perhaps a battery will spin a dynamotor that produces AC. Then they can use that to charge a Tesla.
I read about that. It's the stupidest shit I've ever heard. I don't think they did the research on just how many things use small engines and how many businesses depend on them.
Propane
Yeah, everybody's scratching their head about that. Leaf blowers, weed wackers, ok, but generators. Um, dude.
The irony is all those electric devices really run on coal.
My cabelas (champion) will power my whole house for about 18 hours on a tank
But how many gallons is the tank and how many kWh do you use in 18 hours?
If I don't use the central air the 2000 Watt generator can handle my house no problems. It will take 3 gallons per 24 hours or so.
I think 3. I have splits so ac is efficient but usually I need heat if no power.
