At one time Oregon had a sign at our borders that said “we hope enjoy you’re visit but don’t plan on staying”.
The state used to be red then it’s gerrymandered to hell they claim only conservatives do it. The have super majorities in both houses even though 41% voted for Trump in 2020 up from 39% in 2016. Tell me how that’s possible.
The most obvious one was a R senator from around here, his dad had been a senator before him and he had been one for years. It’s rural western Oregon which barely touches a medium sized city, they redistricted after 2010 census and the next election he lost by 100 votes, because a few hundred city voters were included in his precinct.
