Also, where are the penalties? So no entity is “allowed” to compel vaccination, but if they do, then what?

Did I miss something or is this a toothless bullshit decree?

OH SHIT! SOMEONE around here is paying too much attention!

Well, I think you already know the answer to this. Biden's "mandate" also is nothing more than hot air but companies are acting on it as if it is law so the left gets it both ways. No court can throw that out! In this case I believe as you do, this is nothing more than half assed virtue signalling. Texas is minority white now and it's getting worse every day there......

It's not "there", it's "here" for me, and no, it's not getting worse.

Yeah, there's a lot of Mexicans here. There have been lots of Mexicans here since we took the country from Mexico. Tejanos aren't like your Mexicans in whatever foreign country you are in, like Ohio or whatever.

$1000 per infraction until the lege addresses it in a law, and then they can attach whatever they want. My choice would be $100,000 per infraction plus the amount of any federal fine for not imposing a mandate (like the proposed $70,000 OSHA fine).

Where did you see this?

It's in the actual EO itself. Abbott actually issues them, unlike Biden. I've linked it below.

-2. The maximum fine allowed under Section 418.173 of the Texas Government Code and the State’ s emergency management plan shall apply to any “failure to comply with” this executive order. Confinement in jail is not an available penalty for violating this executive order.

The max fine in 418.173 is $1000 and/or 180 days in jail. Abbott took out the jail term.

There is also the likelihood that violators will lose their franchise tax license and any other licenses in Texas (which was part of earlier EOs) so even if you think you can take the fine, Texas will just take away your ability to legally do business.
