This is precisely why the Marine Lt.Col Scheller spoke out and demanded accountability from the top brass- BECAUSE HE PROBABLY HEARD OF ALL KINDS OF ABSURD SHIT LIKE THIS, STUFF YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE.

And that Marine got thrown into the fucking brig for simply demanding accountability for the massive fuck-up that was the Afghanistan "exit", where at least 16 Americans were killed when they shouldn't have even had to be in that area.

I don't know. Everyone talks tough about keeping sand niggers out and here is an actual American hero that made sure at least 50 of them didn't make it over here and you instantly flip the switch to become a bleeding heart leftist. Maybe you should've been left over there too if you're so worried about a handful of disgusting, subhuman sand niggers.

What? Explain. I have no care for the Afghans. I do care about all of the equipment and Americans who were abandoned there, though. Over a dozen servicemen were killed in a suicide bombing in the chaotic area of the civilian airport- LtCol Scheller was specifically saying "We shouldn't have abandoned Bagram Air Force Base, because that could've been used to quickly and safely evacuate US personnel and equipment." This was an absurd decision, you don't need to be educated in warfare or crisis to know that "having a heavily guarded airfield might be useful in evacuatione".

Maybe you should've been left over there too

I did my time there, and I left via Bagram Air Force base. Nobody was shooting at us or detonating bombs nearby. It was clean and safe, unlike the absolutely swamped airport in Kabul.

You seem to think this is about caring about Afghanistan. It's not. It's about high ranking officers being held accountable for when they fuck up and GET PEOPLE KILLED IN SITUATIONS THAT COULD'VE BEEN EASILY AVOIDED. Any other job, you fuck up and get your co-workers or underlings killed in a situation where you are responsible for their safety, YOU GET FUCKING FIRED.

But if you're a general, and you send 15 men and 1 woman to die in an alley, when they should've been miles away guarding Bagram AFB... you're untouchable. And if some lower-ranking officer questions this insanity, you can just throw him in the brig on trumped up charges.

Were you napping when you wrote this comment?
