It's good in the fact that a public school shouldn't be able to punish speech that happens off campus except in rare exceptions listed in the article. We don't want schools, esp. considering how lefty they have become, to be able to police speech off campus after hours. As for her poor attitude: with regards to the team not being able to retaliate against her for shitty team spirit off campus, they can make her participation in cheer difficult in other ways by making her the bottom of the pyramid or come up with a performance reasons to cut her off the team.
