When you reload you realize how pitiful pistol rounds are compared to rifle rounds. A typical 115 grain 9mm is only backed by about 4 - 6 grains of powder, whereas a 117 grain .257 Weatherby magnum has like 60 grains of powder behind it.
I don't reload, but even just the dimensions of the brass would certainly suggest this is true.
Something like 80% survive when shot with a handgun, and it's significantly higher than that when not shot in the head. If this guy's intention was to kill people he dun goofed.
