According to Customs and Border Protection, over 9,000 Haitian migrants are being held in a makeshift detention camp under the Del Rio International Bridge in Texas.

A video provided by a source within the CBP shows migrants leaving the river after crossing illegally into Del Rio from Ciudad Acuna. In the footage, the mostly Haitian migrants can be seen entering the Rio Grande from Mexico.

I'm genuinely asking a question - how did they get all the way from Haiti? When it's not over land, I don't think you can move 9000 people without infrastructure. Seems a little fucky.

I remember reading about how after the Haitians killed off the French, they wore their clothes to rags and lived in their mansions until decrepit and broken. They had the same "problem" as the rest of their brethren - the lack of initiative to better themselves - and the first place to start is to figure out how someone smarter than you did something. They just can't do that.

As you probably know, the Haitians kicked out (well murdered) the French. The French weren't trying to bring education to the world, as far as I can tell. At that point, they were smarter than that. They were enslaving the niggers to do something like cut sugar cane.

I always like the "God is dead" Catholic viewpoint. But then I enjoyed entertaining the founding fathers' view of Deism - God as a grand Clockmaker. I really have found that the more 'dogma' there is to the religion, the less authentic it seems: live a simple life, be good to yourself and others, worship and praise often, do good things.
