It takes a month to get a machine shop installed and roughly 6 months to train a workforce.
You sound scared of work
what are you even talking about all those machines come from china. I know because i own some. They couldnt ramp up manufacturing paper masks in 2 years.
I know where there is a full machine shop in Alabama capable of any part you want
The guy who ran it for 70 years died and the machines are sitting idle with dust.
It sucks for you though I guess.
I hope America collapses and starves. It will not effect my family at all
How fast do you think the market for 70 yo machines that were still made in america will last before every single one that is serviceable was bought and in use? Gigatons of it were shipped over to china. And you still arent talking tooling which while some of it may be assembled in america the raw materials for it and subcomponents are coming from china. Motors, bearings, linear slides all of that stuff is coming from china along with all the electronics and sub components for the stuff. sure small scale you could concivebly start making some of it after they rebuilt and put back into service all of the steel mills that were parted out and sold but man theres going to be years of gaps in being able to get any of that stuff reliably.
