I think we always knew there were traitors at the top of govt under Trump, and there are now. I don't mean traitors to Trump -- I mean traitors to the American people. But they weren't actually about to obey Trump either. If the President can order a nuclear attack himself that's actually a problem currently. Forget what some asshole worried Trump would do. There's a vegetable puppet in the whitehouse. And then to what you say: this news story is part of their demonization. I wouldn't assume any part of it is true.
