They are trying to kill the groups of employees that are can be replaced via telecommute like some indian sitting in his livingroom that can (Pilot a plane, be a walking kiosk dr) etc...

The high paying jobs that are "critical" that they can then say "Oh well will you look at that, we have a shortage, we are in such desperate need. Looks like we will have to look to our AI God automation to save us"
