Great. Now we can sue car manufacturers for drunk drivers. I cut myself with a pocket knife once. Look out Chris Reeve, I'm coming for you. I twisted my ankle while running. Nike is going down.

This is wonderful!

As if Remington/Freedom Group weren't hated by gun owners enough already. This sets a precedent. And (((Cerberus Capital))) gets to write the losses off on their taxes.

Stupid move. Multiple the cost of settlement divided by the number of crisis actors and multiple by the number of times this is going to happen in the next X years times the average number of victims.

Indeed, the gun manufacturers will be hosed for billions over the next few years. Expect many closures.

wait, does "settling" still set a precedent ? i dont think so..?? maybe

Not a legal precedent. Sorry about the confusion. It will however be used to pressure other manufacturers into settlement/bankruptcy.

It will encourage others to file lawsuits in other shootings. Even if they lose they will make firearms and ammunition prohibitively expensive by bombarding them with lawsuits.
