Assassinations are over rated, for real. It's the last resort, when all else failed, it's kind of lame ass solution in itself, if it's not a means to an end (blackmail).

Let's take a practical example; Apple

Now let's say steve jobs didn't die of natural cause but was assassinated, for the sake of the argument, by apple's enemies, whoever they might be

What's the result? Apple is still there and kicking, the old boss got replaced by the new boss, that's about it

So long story short, let's say biden gets removed one way or the other, and (yet another...) traitor steps in to replace him. And the said traitor gets assassinated by "indie assassins" (as if this was really a common thing to begin with...), what's the result? Another puppet is in line of succession and as the saying goes "never let a serious crisis go to waste..." war on domestic-white-supremacist-terrorism here we come... It's not going to weaken the system, quite the contrary, if anything it will legitimate more arbitrary abuses, and the NPCs of the world would all agree that "yes this is needed"

For assassination to be really a game changer, in that context, it would either require it to be mandated by .gov forces, like they go after all political and corporate traitors and off them without due process, a purge if you will, but we both know .gov isn't going to arrest itself, let alone shoot itself. So it's that OR the entire Washington DC area gets wiped off the map by some chinese nuclear strike or whatever, and then yeah, it's as if the entire Apple HQ got bombed to shit, and then apple still exists but only on paper... And they would need a century to fix that, so it's fucked for a comeback, technically speaking.

If you look at the spook agencies, they mostly go for blackmail not because it's more "legal" or less "immoral", it's mostly because it's much more advantageous to be able to control the "head of the snake" than to just to cut it and then a new one pops up right after.
