There's a big difference between the types of reactions that are provoked in people due to immediate situations that directly affect them vs national politics.

And while the latter certainly directly affects people, a large portion of the populace is not super active in following politics or keeping up with everything going on at the national level.

"You have to take this poison to be able to eat" is an in your face thing that people will be plenty mad about in certain states, especially those where everything has been open for a good long while, or never shut down in any meaningful way to begin with.

Election fraud is an abstract concept to most people by comparison.
