The demand for right wing white militias breaking the law exceeds the supply. They’ve decided this is the most important domestic security issue facing us today. So of course, when they can’t find it, they’re going to manufacture it. And the really scary thing is, that might not be a cynical, self-aware manufacturing either; the FBI might be lost in its own rhetoric that they truly believe these groups will do stuff like this and so push them harder and harder for it.
