Yugoslavia is no more, that region is now sometimes called ex-yugoslavia
The communist dictatorship, under the leadership of tito https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josip_Broz_Tito#Tito%E2%80%93Stalin_split the deal was simple; you're yugoslav and communist and nothing else. Anybody not on board with the program got the shaft. Simple. And it worked, all regionalist movements, independentist movements, they were no more. Now, when tito's regime ended, separatists/regionalists/identitarian movements started to make a comeback
And then, foreign islamists started to take root over there, and then it boiled over and exploded into a civil war of epic proportions
I didn't know that at all. I knew a woman from there back when it was Yugoslavia. When she came to visit America she cried cause she had never seen a grocery store as bug as we have in America before. She also used knives to open up cans because she didn't know what a can opener was. I was little when I met her. Funny how I recall those things.
