This is comparing apples and oranges. The real statistic you are interested in is the rate of clots MULTIPLIED by the risk of death from clots. It's not meaningful to compare the risk of death to the risk of a lower severity side effect. This kind of shit makes us look stupid, and lets 'fact checking' sites cherry pick studies with bad conclusions to claim that there is no evidence for serious covid vaccine side effects. Full disclosure: I'm fully vaccinated except for the COVID vaccine. Other vaccines have been around for decades, and are for diseases with obviously high risks. COVID on the other hand uses a novel functionality that has been around for less than a year. And, the side effect rate is high enough that I know multiple people who had to be hospitalized for it.
