I'm not saying a single anecdote means something should automatically be treated as universal. Leftists can't imagine anything being less than universally applied to everyone which is why they tend to see anecdotes as "false" or without value. It's like a Turing test that they can't pass no matter how "intellectual" they try to be. They can't help it, it's in their nature. It's like a huge mental blind spot that they have.
