Or not paying either and just running out.
Or causing a scene and damaging the venue in order to escape without paying.
Easily the worst tippers, sending back prime rib repeatedly because it isn’t well done enough (and they don’t want an end cut), repeatedly sending back their half-finished Courvoisier because “there ain’t no alcohol in it”, so they end up getting a triple or quad for the price of a single AND they still will act like they aren’t happy, which they’ll use as a justification to stiff you on the tip.
Literally saw this the other day when a couple ordered a burger at a fancy seafood place and then sent it back half eaten, then complained about the drinks and sent them back, then got huffy with the owner about the new free drink.
This is why God created “the other restaurant that doesn’t have this bs charge”.
Let the free market decide.
Sorry but the local government has not only made regulations increasing expensive to stay in business but are limiting how many food serving licenses they are prepared to provide.
Sorry, but that does't mean anyone has to go there and pay that fee.
Gotta love free will.
Do it anyway and pay your local militia to keep the gov goons off your back. Either way you pay a tax, and only one lets you keep your business yours.
That is exactly what this is for, they're just addressing it to the "good kids in the class" [like the teacher afraid of the bullies].
