It's easy to judge and blame when you know virtually nothing about the content of those info

If it really is damning information on very powerful people, necessarily leading to catastrophic consequences for them, some sort of retaliation is to be expected... Not everyone is willing to get offed and/or to sacrifice the well being of their relatives on the altar of freedom, truth, justice, and shit

Especially when it's in the end, for the sole benefit of a bunch of individuals commonly known as "compatriots", who never cared about anything but themselves and their own personal interests to begin with for the vast majority of them, and who definitely aren't willing to do the same sacrifice in return.
