You're absolutely correct; the label "homophobic" laid on people who dislike or even hate gay lifestyle, is false.
Some prominent queer folk and organisations have it in their mind that everybody has to condone and accept their lifestyle and that the cure for anti-gayness is drowning people in what is best kept private (imo).
I'm not homophobic, i'm not against freedom of choice and i'm not anti-gay as such, but i do reserve the right to not liking it one bit and refuse to have gay/weird lifestyles rubbed in my face.. or in my childs face.
I do not condone it and will not be forced to accept it and nobody is going to tell me that i or anybody does not have the right to refuse to celebrate it.
Edit: Came to think of a PhD i once read on the subject of how gay behaviour affected straight males. A brainscan showed that exposing a straight male to images of acts of male gay activities, triggered responses similar to repulsion, loathing and in some cases physical discomfort and nausea.
With this in mind, is it fair to force-feed that filth to anybody?
Imagine a life where the pinnacle of your pride is your sexual identity and -exploits.. it's.. just.. misguided..
repulsion, loathing and in some cases physical discomfort and nausea.
That's how it makes me feel.
But that doesn't mean I fear it. And it wouldn't be irrational if I did, either.
