Maybe he wanted to mislead people with tattoo and tweets in to believing that he got murdered. Kinda revenge on government.
I don't think that would be out of character for him. He's like a character straight out of Watchmen.
So even though he knows everything is a conspiracy and he spent his whole life fighting against this he's just going to give up in a few moments and change his entire life, becoming a normie and pretending none of what he knows ever happened?
