So, now they're saying that Trump was behind the FBI's instigating the false flag "attack" on the capitol? Is he behind the rampant fraud that kept him from being duly re-elected, too??

Governments are doing this all the time. Problem is no accountability for elected officials. If you wantonly do something that gets your government sued, and the other guy, wins you should be held personally responsible -- civilly and criminally. Also governments should never be able to settle using other people's money.

Well, he had no standing when he got the elelction stolen from him.... why is this different. Do we expect the legal system to suddenly be fair or make sense?

This is totally different from that, though. "Him" meaning Trump organization is a part of a contract. This is contract law, not Federal election law.
